Milky Way Photo Shoot
Have you ever wanted to learn how to shoot the Milky Way or the night sky but just never had the opportunity or someone to show you how?
Good News, you do now!
I use to scroll through Instagram looking at #milkyway and #nightphotography and just wonder “how in the heck did they shoot this photo” I had photo envy pretty bad and I still get it on the daily.
I just coined the phrase “photo envy” BTW but you can use it if you want. Basically, its “being jealous of someone else’s photo and wishing it was me that shot that photo instead of the other guy or girl”
So finally, I decided to learn how to do it. And, I want to teach you so you can learn also and shoot those amazing pics of the Milky Way and post them to your social and make all of your friends jealous with PHOTO ENVY.
Here Is The Basic Info:
- Date of shoot: Sept. 28, 2019
- Where? Shores Lake, Arkansas (North of Mulberry, Ar.)
- What Time: 8:30 Ish PM
- We might meet up earlier like in Alma and drive out together.
What Do I Need To Bring?
- DSLR Camera
- Lens (Preferably something with a low F-Stop) 2:8 or lower.
- Extra Batteries
- Head Lamp, flashlight or cell phone flashlight.
- Bug Spray
- Snacks or Drinks (we will be out there for a couple of hours)
- Bring a lawn chair!
Other Things To Know:
This is not a beginner course in photography, please have a basic understanding of how to shoot your camera in manual mode.
Bring a couple different lenses if you have them, it’s fun to try different things!
Disclaimer: I am a Canon shooter so this is what I am most familiar with but, if you are a Nikon or Sony shooter, no worries, I still got you but please be familiar with how to change aperture, ISO, and shutter speed.
I will be shooting with a Canon 5D Mark iv and my lens will be a Canon 24-70 2:8
